  QUESTION AND ANSWER GUIDE

Question 1: What is myStash? Is it like other saving apps where you save money and set

a withdrawal date?

Answer: It is a savings platform, but it does not work like other saving platforms.

It is a save-as-you-spend platform.

What this means is that, whenever you spend and money leaves your account, the myStash

app will notice, and then save/stash away a percentage of that money you spent.

It's like paying yourself tax every time you spend, hence the term save-as-you-spend.

It is also a save-as-you-earn platform.

This means that whenever you earn money (whenever money enters your account), the

myStash app notices and then stashes away/saves a percentage of that money that entered.

Thus the name save-as-you-earn.

Question 2: What exactly are the steps to get fully onboarded and begin saving with

myStash?

Answer:

1. Visit app.mystash.ng and sign up

2. Make a money move (set the percentage you would like to save whenever you spend or

earn)

3. Add your bank (using your mobile or internet banking details)

4. Save your first N50 (using your debit card)

Question 3: About the percentage that is stashed away, do you get to set it up yourself or

it's decided automatically by the app?

Answer: You, the user, determine the percentage that is stashed away (you only have to do this

once - when signing up on the web app).

Question 4: Is there a way to delete a “money move” you have already created?

Answer: For now, you can only edit your “Money Move”, but soon enough, you will be able to

delete it as well.

Question 5: What does “Maximum amount to save on” mean?

Answer: That's the amount at which myStash can no longer save for you. For example, if your

“maximum amount to save on” is 1 million Naira and you spend or earn 1.2 million Naira,

myStash will not be able to help you save on that amount.

Question 6: After adding my bank, what next?

Answer: The next step is to save your first ₦50 by linking your card.

Question 7: Why do I need to link my card?

Answer: Linking your card enables the myStash system to help you save automatically as you

spend/earn. Your card details are not accessible to us hence, it is completely safe.

Question 8: What is the 50 Naira for?

Answer: It is your first saving. It is kept in your myStash account. You can withdraw it whenever

you want to.

Question 9: Is it possible to change your bank after completing the onboarding process?

Answer: Yes, you can do this by adding the new bank and selecting it as the account you would

like to stash from.

Question 10: Can I link multiple bank accounts?

Answer: Yes, you can link multiple bank accounts. You can also set different “Money Moves” on

different connected Bank Accounts.

Question 11: When I fill in my bank login details, it keeps saying invalid credentials, what

do I do?

Answer: Kindly cross check your details and ensure it is correct. In the event that this error

persists, please reset your login details from your bank app.

Question 12: After linking my bank account successfully, I get an error message, how do

I rectify this?

Answer: This is most likely due to a connection error from the bank. Please try again one more

time, if the problem persists, kindly reach out to a customer onboarding personnel via our

communication channels to assist.

Question 13: What are your terms and conditions?

Answer: Please visit https://www.mystash.ng/privacy-policy to see our terms and conditions

Answer: Yes, see step by step video: https://bit.ly/myStashOnboarding

Question 15: How do I know when I have stashed? Do I get an alert?

Answer: Yes, each day, you get an alert showing the total amount stashed that day

Question 16: I have successfully onboarded, and begun spending from the account, but

my stash is not increasing. What is the problem?

Answer: This is most likely a compatibility issue with your bank. While all banks can be linked to

a myStash account, we are only able to save smoothly from the following banks for now;

- GT Bank

- Zenith Bank

- Stanbic Bank

- UBA

- FCMB

Do not worry if your bank is not on the list, kindly still proceed with the onboarding process, we

are working on expanding our compatibility list and will keep you updated about our progress on

this.

Question 17: What are the risks associated with saving with mystash?

No risks at all. Your money is safe with myStash. Apart from being a registered business by the

Corporate Affairs Commission, we also officially have a Cooperative License that regulates our

operations under the Lagos State Government, similar to how CBN regulates a Bank so your

money is fully secured. We also have solid infrastructure partnerships with reputable companies

like Paystack and ARM Asset Managers for payment processing and fund management, and

this list is still growing.
